STEMSeeds program

Engineering Builders

Design challenges, building activities, engineering thinking, and problem solving through practical exploration.

What this pathway is about

Engineering Builders helps learners see engineering as a process of understanding a need, imagining possible solutions, making choices, and learning from what happens. STEMSeeds uses practical exploration to make those steps approachable and connected to the learner's curiosity.

A learning opportunity may include a design challenge, a building activity, a comparison of possible approaches, or a conversation about how engineers solve problems. The emphasis is not on having one perfect answer. It is on explaining a choice, testing an idea when possible, and reflecting on what could change next.

How to get started

Use the STEMSeeds forms page to tell us what the learner would like to explore. Schools and community organizations can contact STEMSeeds about a possible educational connection. Please provide only the general information needed to understand the request.
